It's a beautiful Friday

outside and I figured I'd update.
You haven't heard anything from me in awhile and I'll tell you why. Other than the fact that I was scaling back my posts I ended up having another one of my "migraine" episodes. I'm still recovering from it but I feel much better today.
It started on Tuesday when I was really sleepy all day. I rode with my wife to pick up our grandson from school and I fell asleep in the car. That never happens to me. Then when we get home and I'm sitting on the couch and I fall asleep again. Tuesday night I sleep pretty fair but on Wednesday I get up and I know it's there. The headache is starting and the diarrhea is starting and I feel like hell. Wednesday night I sleep terrible and yesterday all day I am so tired and weak and just wishing that it would stop. I slept terrible again last night night but after my shower today I did feel a bit better. I am just so blasted weak..
Now, I just recently posted that it had been over two months since my last episode ended and then I was knocking on wood that I was over these damn things....and then this happens.
I'm going back through my diet to try and remember if there was anything I ate that might have been on my No-No list that I was trying to reintegrate into my diet. The only thing I can remember is that I made a banana and peanut butter shake the day prior to this episode and both of those are on my list. I'll stay off of these longer this time and see if that may have been what caused it....otherwise, I don't know.

Today and this weekend are supposed to be in the 80's or high 70's and I'll be damned if I'm going to be stuck in the house with the first gorgeous weather of the season...especially since it comes around some rarely.

So, with all that being said...it's 79 degrees outside right now...that is a nice change from what we have had...and to segue into my music selection...let's go back to some Little River Band during their 1982 - 1985 years...their vocalist was John Farnham..arguably one the greatest vocalists ever...and here is LRB with "Cool Change" even though our weather isn't cool...it is a cool change... :-)

Sunday

update..
I figured I'd update for a couple of reasons today.
First, The last time I updated was last Sunday...so it's been one week. Second, today is Easter...so Happy Easter everyone..!!
Third..just a couple of quick little updates about the TM.

I was going through the blog and finding all the dates that I had recorded as far as my migraine episodes. It seems that my last episode ended the 21st of February..so that makes it almost 2 months now since I've had one...(I'm knocking on wood while I type this) So, please....let me not have another one ever again...
Now, to start figuring out exactly what it was that was triggering them. Hmmmmmm...

Otherwise..all else has been pretty good...the only thing that was a bit of a bugger...here about a week or so ago...we had some pretty chilly days and it was also raining...the humidity was high...and my legs were letting me know it. I'm guessing I'm a human weather weather barometer. I could tell before hand that the weather was going to be bad and all while the rain and cold my legs felt like hell. They were so stiff and achy. The one good thing is that the pain level wasn't any worse...it's just the stiffness and ache.
Now, yesterday and today..it's been sunny and the temp has been about 50 degrees. I woke up and the legs were stiff but as the day wore on...the legs felt much better.
I guess now since I've experienced the cold, the rain, the humidity..I'm curious as to how the heat and humidity is going to work out...I'm not sure I want to find out..

The last few days I've been thinking about some things I could be doing to keep myself busy for a cheap hobby...and I've always liked things I could do with my hands...well, I came across an issue of a woodcarvers magazine where they talked about carving wood spirits...and I went rummaging around some of the cut up logs we have laying up behind the house. I brought a couple in to start practicing on...so, the last couple of days I've been playing around in the basement in my workshop and this is what I came up with...now, remember...this is practice...I'm learning what I need to do to get some of the detail correct..things like the eyes and the nose and mouth..but, so far it's been pretty fun...
take a look...

So...for the music today....This song combined with the way the weather is today...makes me think about just laying in a huge field and just taking in the sky, the breeze, watching the birds....just loving life...!!
The band...Dream Academy...and the song...Life In A Northern Town..

Sunday

morning.
Well, I figured I'd do a quick update this morning.
Let's see...since last update what's been happening..? TM wise....the legs have been a bit of a bother again...We had a day where the humidity was high and it was raining ALL DAY LONG....and on top of that the temp was back down into the 30's. I think for my next career I shall become a human weather barometer...I know when the weather is going to be crappy outside.
To top all this off...sleep has been lacking the last two nights...This really sucks too because there for a couple of nights I slept like a baby..I mean I really slept well..and it felt so good to wake up and know that I actually had a great nights sleep. I suppose I might as well get used to this because I don't see anything changing down the road.

Okay...now..as far as the "migraines" go...knock on wood...I've had no episodes seeing I've been on the meds and been following the diet. I am slowly integrating some of the foods on the diet back into my normal diet...for instance..bananas were one thing on the list that I was supposed to stay away from..and over the last week I've had two bananas..and no migraines..so, I think now I'll start with something else and see how I do with that.

Since I'm down to one day a week at PT I've also been hitting the treadmill here at home a bit. That's going fairly well also..now, if the damn weather would start warming back up a bit again...I'll be back outside and hopefully be walking down the block a bit.

For the music today....I'm posting something from one of my favorite guitarists....Jeff Beck, who was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last night. He was inducted last night as a performer but had been inducted twice before as a member of the Yardbirds as a solo artist and a band leader.
He is one of the true guitar heroes....
