The Pictures I tried to post

Not quite sure if I was losing my mind, if I was too tired or if the website was messing up...but I could not, for the life of me, get the pictures to post last night....and it figures, the very first try today and they posted just fine...
Go figure..

So...without further adieu....My Balloon launch to commemorate the June 6th 2011 Transverse Myelitis Awareness Day.





There were some others in Ohio that did the same thing, and also some folks in Alabama that are doing this on the 9th, which is their TM Awareness Day...
Next year, I think I'm going to try and arrange a get together of about 5 or 6 of us here in Ohio and we can do all of ours at the same time.

June 6th Ohio Transverse Myelitis Awareness Day

Yes, today is the TM Awareness Day in Ohio.
The resolution was actually passed back in 2000 but from anything that I've seen, heard and read from others....nothing if very little was ever done in support of the TM Awareness Day, not only in Ohio but in the 3 other that also have passed this resolution.
I'm not finger pointing or anything like that at all...It's just been very frustrating knowing this.
I started trying to piece something together last year and still couldn't muster a whole lot of interest in trying to do anything....but I have been relentless and have continued speaking to other TMr's and working with other TMr's to help them get a TM Awareness Day resolution pushed through in their House Of Representatives to see if they could get it passed.
That, in and of itself has been a long arduous process but it has paid off in spades....Since we can now add Alabama to our list of states and there has been much more of an interest this time, with people in various states, wanting to help out and try to get a TM Awareness day passed in their state.

So, this year in Ohio I did a TM Awareness Day balloon launch...I attached a short note to the balloons explaining who I am, what TM is and that I was trying to spread awareness.
I was told that some of my other Ohioans were going to do the same thing...
Next year, I am going to try and organize a get together of some of us TMr's here in Ohio and do a mass launch.

Well....for some reason I can't get Blogger to allow me to post the pictures right now....or perhaps it's because I'm trying to do this while half asleep....
I'll try to post the pictures tomorrow...
I'm also going to bypass my music that I usually post with my updates...
